Getting Started with FreshStart
Follow these steps to set up your account and create your first commitment.
Step 1: Create Your Account
- 1. Go to Sign Up
- 2. Enter your email address
- 3. Create a strong password
- 4. Confirm your email (check your inbox)
Step 2: Add Your Phone Number
- 1. Go to Settings
- 2. Enter your phone number (US format: +1-555-0000)
- 3. Choose your preferred check-in time (timezone-aware)
- 4. Save your settings
Step 3: Create Your First Commitment
- 1. Go to your Dashboard
- 2. Click "New Commitment"
- 3. Enter your commitment (e.g., "Exercise for 30 minutes")
- 4. Set frequency (daily, weekly)
- 5. Confirm and start tracking
Step 4: Start Receiving Check-Ins
- 1. At your chosen time, you'll receive an SMS check-in
- 2. Reply "yes" or "no" to confirm completion
- 3. View your progress in the Dashboard
- 4. Build your streak and stay accountable

- ✓ Be specific with your commitments - "exercise" is vague, "30-min run" is clear
- ✓ Set your check-in time to match your routine
