Getting Started with FreshStart

Follow these steps to set up your account and create your first commitment.

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. 1. Go to Sign Up
  2. 2. Enter your email address
  3. 3. Create a strong password
  4. 4. Confirm your email (check your inbox)

Step 2: Add Your Phone Number

  1. 1. Go to Settings
  2. 2. Enter your phone number (US format: +1-555-0000)
  3. 3. Choose your preferred check-in time (timezone-aware)
  4. 4. Save your settings

Step 3: Create Your First Commitment

  1. 1. Go to your Dashboard
  2. 2. Click "New Commitment"
  3. 3. Enter your commitment (e.g., "Exercise for 30 minutes")
  4. 4. Set frequency (daily, weekly)
  5. 5. Confirm and start tracking

Step 4: Start Receiving Check-Ins

  1. 1. At your chosen time, you'll receive an SMS check-in
  2. 2. Reply "yes" or "no" to confirm completion
  3. 3. View your progress in the Dashboard
  4. 4. Build your streak and stay accountable

  • ✓ Be specific with your commitments - "exercise" is vague, "30-min run" is clear
  • ✓ Set your check-in time to match your routine
